Our Vision
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one – I in them and you in me – so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” (John 17:20-23, NIV)
Gender. Race. Political affiliation. Economic status. Immigration. Sexual orientation. Social rank and even Christian denomination. Our world divides itself on all these things and more, but this was never Jesus’ plan for His people. In fact, Christ’s prayer for his Church was unity; that despite the things around us that divide, we may be unified under the grace, mercy, hope, and love that is in Him.
At One Church we recognize that regardless of our personal differences, we are one in the Savior who is Jesus Christ. We are a unified community of believers who understand that together, the body of Christ can make real, kingdom impact, right here, in Mason City. Together, we stand behind the Jesus mission of spreading the Gospel by empowering individuals for one on one discipleship, that we may build each other up and reach the lost with the hope of Jesus Christ.
One Savior. One community. One mission. We are One Church - because Jesus said may His people be one, that a divided world may believe the Gospel.
